Depuis la saison 2002/2003, le Théâtre du Gymnase et le Théâtre du Jeu de Paume forment en pôle théâtral partageant la même programmation.
À partir de janvier 2013 s'ajoute le Grand Théâtre de Provence, puis en janvier 2016 le Théâtre des Bernardines.
